The grapes to produce Pinot Nero IGT Trevenezie Sacchetto were destemmed to reduce the levels of tannins in the resulting wine, pressed and macerated to extract aromatics, flavour and fine tannins. Fermentation took place with selected yeasts in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Pinot Nero IGT Trevenezie Sacchetto was kept in tank until bottled, preserving the fruity characteristics of the vine.

The grapes are grown in IGT Trevenezie where the soils in the vineyard are made up of marl. IGT Trevenezie is situated in the North East of Italy and encompasses the regions of Fruili Venezie Giulia, Trentino-Alto Adige and the Veneto. The IGT was created as of 2017, it was previously known as IGt delle Venezie.

The Winery

The Sacchetto winery was founded at the beginning of the twentieth century, in that part of the Veneto region where wine is a fundamental part of history, culture and economy. The founder is Sisto Sacchetto, who in the first post-war period traded in wine and grapes. A flourishing trade, given the technical expertise and commercial skills of Sisto, a business that has evolved into a more structured reality between the ’50s and’ 60s, the years of the Italian economic boom. These were the years in which Sisto expressed the idea of ​​giving more value to the family business by directing it to … the land of origin, aiming to directly produce the grapes for its wines.

The Sacchetto La Ninfa lies in a bright straw yellow with copper-coloured reflections in the glass. The nose of this expressive Pinot Grigios from northern Italy shows a floral and fresh aroma. Heavenly notes of bananas, pineapples and glycines await you.

Santa Christina Toscana is a delightful red wine with a ripe nose, nice feel on the tongue and a spicy smooth finish. It has aromas of smooth cherry, berry, dark chocolate, and notes of anise flavours. This wine may be served with pizza or red sauce based dishes.

This is the Vermentino that rises from the sea, the expression of a territory which acquires salinity and freshness from the sea.

Colour: pale straw-yellow with soft hints of green. Bouquet: its winy aroma is well-balanced, delicate though distinct, with a fresh fragrance reminiscent of ripe apples.
Flavour: it has a harmonious taste, dry but not harsh, crisp and rather lively, with an almond aftertaste.
Serving Suggestions: ideal accompaniment for fish dishes, especially shellfish.
